So, my mom and dad are hounding me about committing to painting their house this summer. I do NOT want to do it. I mean, I have a lot better things to do with my summer than paint their house (for free I might add). And, what is going to happen if – and probably when because I’m not great at this kind of thing) – I mess something up? What if the paint doesn’t stick? Will the expect me to scrape everything down and repaint it? I don’t think so!

I mean, I’m not a lazy person…but really, who wants to paint a house? It gets hot and super humid here in the summer. I know that I’m going to want to spend my days at the beach and my nights with my friends…so when do the expect me to do this?

So, I took it upon myself to pull up good ol’ Google to find a local company that will do it for a good price. I found www.TwinCityPaintPros.com and they looked pretty good.  I am pretty sure they come to our area too.  What if I organized everything for them with the painters?  Would that be helpful? Why do they think I should have to do this crap for free anyway?  Seriously, just because I’m your kid doesn’t mean that I have to do it for free.  Good grief.  Give me a break.  barf.

Heck, I’d probably rather pay to have the house painted myself them spend my summer doing it. What a waste of time!  Next they will be trying to get me to paint the inside too.  It’s like you cave to one thing and they just keep pushing you do to more and more for free.  I don’t understand parents and I hope that I’m never like that if / when I have kids some day.

Like seriously, I’m not a painter. I don’t know how to paint.  And, if they had me do it, they would probably be standing over my shoulder the entire time picking apart everything I did. It would be quicker if they just do it themselves.  Anyway, I’m out. see ya.
